Spring Quilt Market 2012 — The Set-Up

Who knew that Kansas City was so darn beautiful? I’ll admit, I’m a first time visitor. I knew that the city was known for the jazz scene, but the architecture? Wow. We took a drive for dinner earlier (Anna’s Oven — and can I say that the mac-n-cheese deserves its own WOW?) and ended up on the most lovely little side street with houses constructed of stone and wood. The grass was green and sprawling, the trees offered the perfect amount of shade. If we all have to be stuck in a place for a few days for this fabulous Quilt Market of ours, I’m a little glad that we’re stuck here.

The past two days have been a whirlwind, but we’ve been soaking it up. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this, but I’m a Quilt Market newbie. I’m here with an amazing group with years and years of experience, but this… this is my first Market, and I have to say that I’m feeling a bit like a kid in a candy store. The fabrics, the quilts, the patterns, the bags (and of course all of the magic in the middle,) it’s overwhelming in the best possible way. I have grand plans to visit a slew of different booths and hope to bring you a eye-catching round-up of all of the fabulous things that you can’t afford to miss. For now, you’ll have to settle for a sneak peek of our Pellon®/Legacy™ booth.

If you’re attending market, please do come by and say hello. We’ll be at booth 1137. We have fun bags with snazzy little tape measures. We’re always smiling;).
