A Handmade Holiday 2013 — Simple, Sturdy Tote Bag

What’s the one thing that can be catered to suit pretty much anyone on your holiday list? A good tote bag! That’s right — need something for your sister? Create a tote in her favorite colors with a coordinating zippy pouch. Something for your niece? Grab a special print and create a custom appliqué that will make her the talk of her 9th grade class. I know what you’re thinking — what about the men? Well, depending on the men in your life, this still works. My husband brings a bag with his lunch to work every day. I know he’s appreciate a sturdy, manly tote in a trendy camo print. Can you you guess what I’ll be making this holiday season? 😉

Amy Smart from Diary of a Quilter has created an easy-to-follow, quick to assemble Simple, Sturdy Tote pattern. Honestly, if you’re motivated, I think you could even make a few in a day!
