A Handmade Holiday with Pellon®

Can you believe it’s already December? We’re still recovering from Thanksgiving and now all we want to do is drink egg nog and stare into the lights on our Christmas trees;). It’s one of our favorite seasons, and we’re diving right in! This year, we’re going handmade and have oodles of easy, yet fabulous ways for you to do the same. All month, we’ll feature projects from our incredibly talented designers and at the end of every week, we’ll launch a special giveaway to help you make a project or two. It really is the most WONDERFUL time of the year!! 😉

To kick off the festivities, we couldn’t help but share the I {heart} Pellon® Stocking by Rachael Gander of Imagine Gnats. Though we’re understandably partial to the stocking in its original form (we {heart} Pellon® too!!}, this stocking can be customized with any type of embroidery you’d like. Make one for every member of your family (pets included!) or do a special one for a friend chock full of irresistible goodies.

The pdf pattern comes complete with stocking templates, easy step-by-step instructions and lots of photos. It’s exactly what you need to get into the holiday spirit! To make one just like Rachael’s, grab some of the following:

Cherry Christmas by Aneela Hoey for Moda (squares)
Essex Linen in Black & Flax from Robert Kaufman (body and embroidery backing)
DS Quilts for Jo-Ann (lining)
